The problem

Still looking at a yard that never got done?

Dirt, weeds and a dead lawn

A new build with no yard yet, a lawn that never took, or a slope that washes out every spring. You want it done, not patched.

Contractors who never call back

You left messages. One guy showed up, measured, and disappeared. Another sent a number with no plan behind it. You are tired of chasing people to spend your own money.

It should not be this hard

Getting a straight answer about what your yard will cost, and when it will be done, should not take weeks of guessing.

Every season you wait is another summer of dust and hand-watering, another spring of runoff, and one more year the yard pulls the whole house down with it.

Your guide

A second-generation landscaper who grew up in a nursery

We know what it is like to look out the window at a yard that is not done, and to wonder whether the next contractor will show up either. You want someone who gives you a real number, tells you when they will start, and is still there on the last day.

Rich Combe grew up on his dad's tree farm and nursery and has been landscaping for about thirty years, including fifteen building large commercial sites across four states. That standard now goes into residential yards. 3V has been in business since 2011, owns its own equipment, runs a four to five person crew, and Rich is a Certified Backflow Installer.

  • 15+years in business
  • Second-generation landscaper

Rich grew up on his dad's tree farm and nursery and has been building yards for about thirty years.

  • Commercial-grade build standard

Fifteen years of large commercial sites across four states. That is the standard every backyard gets.

  • Our own crew and equipment

A four to five person full-time crew and every machine owned outright, so we control the schedule, the cost and the quality.

  • Built on referrals

Pool builders, real estate agents and past customers still send us most of our work. We earn the next call on the job in front of us.

The plan

Three steps from dirt to done

  1. 1

    Walk the yard with Rich

Call or send the form. Rich comes out, walks the yard with you, listens to what you want, and gives you a real number and a start date.

  2. 2

    One crew, start to finish

Sprinklers, sod, trees, patios and walls are all done in-house with our own equipment, so the schedule is ours to keep.

  3. 3

    Final walkthrough, then it's yours

When the last block is set and the sprinklers are tested, we walk the yard with you one more time before we call it done.

Questions

Straight answers

How much does a landscape project cost?

It depends on the yard, and we will give you a real number after we walk it with you. Most of our work is complete yard installs, and a typical project for us runs around $27,000. A sprinkler system, sod or a single patio on its own costs less. We do not quote from the street.

Do you do the whole yard, or just parts of it?

Both. Most of what we build is the complete yard: sprinklers, sod, trees, patios and retaining walls, planned and built as one job by one crew. We also install sprinkler systems, sod, trees, paver patios and block retaining walls on their own.

Who will actually be doing the work?

Our own crew, with our own equipment. Rich bids the job and runs it, and a four to five person full-time crew builds it. For big installs we bring in a trusted on-call network, so a big job does not drag on.

Where do you work?

We are based in Ogden and build yards across Weber, Davis and Morgan counties, generally within about 20 miles of Ogden. If you are not sure whether we cover your town, call and ask.

Can you put sprinklers in a yard you did not build?

Yes. We install complete sprinkler and irrigation systems in existing yards as well as new ones. Rich is a Certified Backflow Installer, so the connection to your water line is done right.

Do you offer emergency service?

Yes. If something on your property has failed and cannot wait, call (801) 458-5381 and tell us what happened. We will tell you straight away whether we can get to it.

Next step

Tell us about the job

Send this over and we will call you back to book a time that works. If it cannot wait, call (801) 458-5381.

Answer a few quick questions and we will call you back.

No obligation. We never sell your details.

Step 1 of 4

Do you have a date the yard needs to be done by?

Where this ends

Evenings on the patio instead of weekends in the dirt

The sprinklers come on by themselves. The lawn is green in July. The patio is where you eat dinner now, and the slope behind the house stays put when it rains. That is what done looks like.
